Today we had the award-winning author Joseph Bruchac visit with the entire third grade. He spoke about his Abenaki heritage and what it means to be an author. We had tons of questions for him!
Last week we mixed up all of the 3rd grade to become 'experts' in different tech programs: Explain Everything, Weebly, Adobe Voice, and iMovie. We spent two days in crash course on the basics of these programs. Today we shared with our classmates the skills we learned in the Tech Fair.
Yesterday we met with our buddies to learn what we have in common. We filled out a venn diagram to see what interests overlapped.
Today we Celebrated Jennifer's birthday! We had delicious and colorful cupcakes while she shared a book with the class.
With spaghetti, tape, and string; we tried to build a tower as tall as we possibly could. But the real challenge came in when we had to put a marshmallow at the very top! Our towers swayed, bent, and even collapsed. It was quite a challenge.
Yesterday we took on the challenge of creating boats out of drinking straws and plastic wrap. Once we created them, we loaded pennies on top!
Adrianna shared a favorite book with the class today for her birthday celebration. 3A munched on cupcakes while asking her questions.
